About

Hello!

“Positive thinking will let you do everything better than negative thinking will.”

As a seasoned psychotherapist with over 16 years of experience, I have had the privilege of working with diverse populations encompassing various socio-economic backgrounds, cultures, and languages. Over the past five years alone, I have successfully engaged with individuals representing more than 23 different nationalities across the globe. My unwavering passion for my profession is evident in my steadfast commitment to my clients, ensuring that they always remain my top priority.

Throughout my practice, I have encountered and assisted clients facing an extensive range of challenges. From depression, stress, and anxiety to ADHD/ADD, aggression, domestic violence, divorce, emotional instability, gender issues, grief, insomnia, developmental concerns, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, mood swings, and couples counseling, I have adeptly addressed a wide array of issues.

What is My Journey

My professional journey has taken me to diverse settings, including schools, universities, clinics, and non-profit organizations, enriching my therapeutic approach. Additionally, I have seized opportunities to impart my knowledge and expertise through extensive training and seminars conducted both locally and internationally.

My credentials reflect my dedication to professional growth and excellence. I hold a Master of Science degree in Psychology, earned from Texas Wesleyan University in 2006. Furthermore, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (Lic# 63373) and a Certified MBTI practitioner. My expertise extends to being a Certified Personality Dimension Trainer, a Certified Stress Management Consultant, and a Certified Medical Meditation Consultant.

In alignment with my commitment to ongoing development, I have pursued specialized training in various areas. I am trained in Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS), enabling me to effectively address and manage suicidal tendencies. Additionally, I have attained full certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), equipping me to provide comprehensive trauma support.

As a Licensed Mental Toughness Practitioner, I possess the skills to help clients enhance their resilience and perseverance. My proficiency as a Certified Stress Management Consultant (CSMC) and a Certified Medical Meditation Consultant (CMMC) enables me to guide individuals in managing and reducing stress through evidence-based techniques. Furthermore, as a Certified Personality Dimensions Trainer (CPDT), I offer valuable insights into personality assessment and development.

To further expand my therapeutic repertoire, I have participated in a Solution-Focused Therapy workshop led by Insoo Berg, the co-founder of SFT. This experience has deepened my understanding and implementation of this highly effective approach.

Moreover, I have received training in suicide prevention, underscoring my commitment to safeguarding the well-being of my clients and community. My comprehensive knowledge encompasses professional ethics, treatment planning, screening and crisis intervention, DSM-IV coding, and advanced case management.

In addition to my extensive professional background, I am highly skilled in providing culturally sensitive counseling. I recognize the importance of understanding and respecting diverse cultural perspectives when working with clients from different backgrounds. With my deep appreciation for cultural nuances, I ensure that my counseling approach is inclusive and tailored to meet the unique needs of everyone.

Furthermore, my bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English allows me to effectively communicate with clients who are more comfortable expressing themselves in their native language. This linguistic ability facilitates a deeper level of understanding and connection, enabling clients to fully engage in the therapeutic process and express their thoughts and emotions more authentically.

By combining my cultural sensitivity, language skills, and extensive experience, I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where clients from diverse backgrounds can explore their concerns, navigate challenges, and embark on a path towards healing and personal growth.
